About

Implacable is a metal band from the west coast of Norway, inflicting their own slow & heavy breed of doom/death metal upon the musical netherworld since medio nineteen nineties.

In 1998 the demo Behind the Veil was recorded at the "Old Slaughterhouse" in Haugesund, and released independently. This demo contained three songs covering the span of history of the band up until then, from Master which already had become an aged song, through Behind the Veil, to Psalm 68 which was created just prior to the recording. The title track was subsequently featured on a 7" released by the German zine "Turn or Burn".
Lineup changes and other challenges kept the band from releasing any new material until 2004, when the rough self-directed rehearsal bootleg "The Seaside 2004 Rehersal Scrolls", again with a mixture of old and new material, was released to the underground in concordance with a live performance at a norwegian summer festival.

After a period of pursuing the role of Sleeping Beast, the band is again preparing for new challenges. The year is 2006, and the Doom must go on...

The current lineup is:

Jahn Owe - Guitar, Vocals
Øyvind - Drums
Toril - Vocals, Keyboards
Erlend - Guitar
Kristian - Bass
